Céline as a Woman
more comics about nothing
Here’s a short story, recently published in Wobby #43, co-edited by the great Masha Krasnova-Shabaeva.
The opening line popped into my head years and years ago. I had no idea what it means, but wrote it down anyway. I didn’t even know any Célines back then (I do know two now, and neither of them has nothing to do with this).
When I started thinking about this anthology’s theme of escape, the line popped back and then the rest of the story followed, almost fully-formed. Here’s a discarded ending, which I replaced with the zoom out. Still not sure how I feel about it. Didn’t feel like the story could have any ending, so it felt more appropriate to do a visual equivalent of a feedback loop.
Eternal Arseprint
And now, Foghorn chapter 3 continues.
